FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. – The Atlanta Falcons signed defensive end Jonathan Woodard to their practice squad on Wednesday and placed tight end Joshua Perkins on their practice squad injured list.

Woodard was a seventh-round pick of the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2016 NFL Draft. He tore his Achilles tendon during team workouts in his rookie season, but he recovered and saw action with the Jaguars this preseason. Jacksonville waived Woodard prior to the start of the season.

Perkins was signed as an undrafted free agent last season and played in eight games, catching three passes for 42 yards and a touchdown. The Falcons also announced the addition of kicker Mike Meyer to the practice squad on Wednesday.
