Falcons Sign Bosher, Harris to Extensions

The Atlanta Falcons today announced that they have signed punter Matt Bosher to a five-year contract extension and long snapper Josh Harris to a four-year contract extension.

Bosher, 6-0, 208 pounds, was selected by the Falcons in the sixth round (192nd overall) of the 2011 NFL Draft. In three-plus seasons with the Falcons, Bosher has punted 207 times for 9,426 yards with a 45.5 yard average and a 40.2-yard net average. He has dropped 77 punts inside the 20-yard line with just 12 landing in the end zone for touchbacks. Bosher has also kicked off 261 times with 126 touchbacks, and a 48.3 touchback percentage. He broke his own franchise record with a 41.1 yard net punting average in 2013.

Harris, 6-1, 224 pounds, was signed by the Falcons as a college free agent out of Auburn following the 2012 NFL Draft. In two-plus seasons with the Falcons, he has played in all 34 games serving as the Falcons long snapper on place kicks and punts. During that time, K Matt Bryant has hit 61-of-69 field goals (88.4 pct.), including 26-of-31 from 40-plus yards.
