AMB Sports & Entertainment Group today announced the appointment of Mike Gomes as Senior Vice President – Fan Experience. The appointment became effective Sept. 2
In this newly-created position, Mike will design and implement innovative strategies to enhance the game and event day experience for Atlanta Falcons fans at the Georgia Dome, as well as for MLS Atlanta fans and event guests at the new Atlanta stadium set to open in 2017. Mike will also oversee game-day and special event multimedia production teams, operations, guest services, and in-stadium communications.
Mike joins AMB Sports & Entertainment from Walt Disney Parks and Resorts in Orlando, Florida, where he most recently served as Vice President, Experience Development and Media Strategy. Mike was a member of the senior leadership team that oversaw the launch of *MyMagic *, a transformational, guest-centric strategy that delivers an immersive, personalized and seamless theme park experience. His 20 -year career at Disney also included roles in product development, business development and alliance sponsorship.

Mike earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University. He will be joined in Atlanta by his wife and three children.
