Falcons Make Roster Moves During Draft

The Atlanta Falcons today announced that they have waived safety Brandon Bishop, offensive lineman Reid Fragel, cornerback Jordan Mabin, linebacker/defensive end Jacques Smith, and running back Ronnie Wingo.

Bishop, 6-1, 208 pounds, was originally signed by the Minnesota Vikings as a college free agent following the 2013 NFL Draft out of North Carolina State. He was signed to the Falcons practice squad at the end of the 2014 season.

Fragel, 6-8, 308 pounds, was originally selected by the Cleveland Browns in the seventh round (240th overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft. He spent time with the Browns, Cincinnati Bengals, and Indianapolis Colts prior to joining the the Falcons practice squad in 2014.

Mabin, 5-11, 180 pounds, was originally signed as a college free agent by the Baltimore Ravens following the 2012 NFL Draft out of Northwestern. He spent time as a practice squad player for the Ravensh prior to signing with the Browns for the final week of the 2012 season. Mabin spent the 2013 and 2014 seasons as a member of the Falcons practice squad.

Smith, 6-2, 258 pounds, was signed by the Falcons as a college free agent following the 2014 NFL Draft out of Tennessee. He served as a member of the Falcons practice squad last season.

Wingo, 6-3, 231 pounds, was signed by the Falcons as a college free agent following the 2013 NFL Draft out of Arkansas. He was waived following training camp and later signed to the practice squad for the final week of the 2014 season.
