Falcons Make Roster Moves

The cloud cover made for a cooler day in Flowery Branch as the Atlanta Falcons took the field for practice during 2015 XFINITY Atlanta Falcons Training Camp. Here are pictures from the day.

The Atlanta Falcons today announced that they have signed running back Michael Ford and tight end DJ Tialavea, and have waived/injured tight end Beau Gardner, in addition to waiving Freddie Martino.

Ford, 5-10, 216 pounds, was originally signed by the Chicago Bears as a college free agent out of Louisiana State in 2013. He saw action mostly on special teams for the Bears.

Tialavea, 6-4, 260 pounds, was originally signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars as a college free agent out of Utah State in 2014. He also spent time as a member of the Buffalo Bills practice squad last season. Tialavea played in 40 games during his collegiate career and caught 30 passes for 198 yards and five touchdowns.

Gardner, 6-4, 240 pounds, was originally signed as a college free agent following the 2015 NFL Draft out of Northern Arizona. Martino, 6-0, 195 pounds, was signed by the Falcons as a college free agent out of North Greenville in 2014.
