Falcons First Team to Sign Entire Draft Class

The Atlanta Falcons today announced that they have signed the remaining players in their 2016 NFL Draft class: linebacker Deion Jones (second round – 52nd overall), tight end Austin Hooper (third round – 81st overall), linebacker De'Vondre Campbell (fourth round – 115th overall), guard Wes Schweitzer (sixth round – 195th overall), and wide receiver Devin Fuller (seventh round – 238th overall).

Atlanta is the first team in the NFL to sign all of their draft picks this season, and it marks the first time in team history that every draft selection has been signed before the start of rookie mini-camp.

Jones, 6-1, 222 pounds, played in 51 games with 12 starts, with 11 of those starts coming last season during his senior year for the Tigers. Jones made the most of his senior season by leading LSU in tackles with 100. He's recorded a total of 165 tackles, 21.0 tackles for loss, and 5.0 sacks during his career in Baton Rouge.

Hooper, 6'4", 254 pounds, played in 27 games in his two years as a Cardinal. He earned freshman All-American and second-team All-Pac 12 honors in 2014 after posting 40 catches for 499 yards and two receiving touchdowns. During his sophomore year he was a Mackey Award finalist and was selected to be on All-Pac 12 first team. He recorded 34 catches for 438 yards and six receiving touchdowns during his final year at Stanford.

Campbell, 6'4, 232 pounds, played in 39 games with 27 starts during his three years with the Gophers. He finished his career at Minnesota with 208 tackles, 16 tackles for loss, and 6.5 sacks. During his senior season, Campbell was named All-Big Ten Honorable Mention after recording a team high four sacks, and posting three straight games with double-digit tackles.

Schweitzer, 6'5, 314 pounds, played in 38 games for the Spartans, 37 of them consecutively since the 2013 season. Last season, he blocked for a team that averaged 27.9 points per game, 182.9 rushing yards per game and 221.7 passing yards per game. Schweitzer was one of four co-captains on last year's team and a four-time academic all-conference honoree.

Fuller, 6-0, 200 pounds, saw action in 44 games during his four year tenure with UCLA. He piled up 146 catches for 1,322 yards, while also hauling in 10 touchdowns as a Bruin. Fuller's 146 career receptions rank sixth on UCLA's all-time list. Fuller also saw action as a kickoff and punt returner, racking up 969 career return yards.
