The National Football League announced today that the Atlanta Falcons will host an NFC Divisional playoff game on Sunday, Jan. 13 at 1 p.m. ET on FOX.

The Falcons finished the 2012 regular season with the NFC's best record at 13-3, earning the number one seed and home field advantage throughout the playoffs. Under head coach Mike Smith, the Falcons have earned the conference's top seed in two of the last three seasons. The Falcons posted a 7-1 record at the Georgia Dome in 2012. Since 2008, Atlanta owns a 33-7 record at the Dome, which is the best home record in the NFC and tied for the second-best home record in the NFL during that span.

Although their opponent has yet to be determined, the Falcons will host the lowest remaining seed that day. The Falcons will face Washington, Seattle or Minnesota.
