The Falcons defense didn't perform quite as well as they did last week, but their first half effort was still strong. The passing defense for Atlanta gave up 130 yards passing, but the run defense clamped down on Cincinnati's ground attack.

The Bengals rushed ten times in the first half Thursday night and the Falcons allowed 11 yards. Brian Leonard was the Bengals' leading rusher with 13 yards on six carries.

In total, the Falcons limited the Bengals to 1.1 yards per carry.

William Moore and Dunta Robinson led the Falcons defense in the first half with three tackles each. Robinson added one tackle for loss and a pass defensed as well.
