In an effort to continuously look for ways to enhance the gameday and year-round experience for its fans, the Atlanta Falcons have partnered with YinzCam, Inc. to develop the official smartphone app of the team, Falcons Mobile 2011.

Falcons Mobile 2011 provides day-in, day-out up-to-the-minute information on the Atlanta Falcons. The app gives fans access to real-time Falcons news, player statistics, injury reports, standings, team schedule, scores, on-demand video content, audio podcasts, and photo galleries. In addition, fans attending Falcons home games at the Georgia Dome can access the app's interactive map of the Georgia Dome, which displays the closest concession stands, retail stores and other amenities. The app also links fans to the team's various social networking sites, such as the Falcons aggregated Twitter feed, one-click tweeting and Facebook posting, and game day check-ins with Foursquare and Gowalla.

Just days after its release to the three major app stores, Falcons Mobile 2011 spent the Labor Day weekend positioned at the top of the iTunes App Store "What's Hot" list in the free sports apps category. Falcons Mobile 2011 has been extremely well received by fans, as evidenced by its perfect 5-star rating in the iTunes App Store.

"We are always trying to find ways to better connect with our fans and provide them with added value to their overall Falcon experience," said Falcons CEO and President Rich McKay.

To get started, fans can download the Falcons Mobile 2011 app to their smartphones via the Apple App Store, Android Market and the Blackberry App World. Note: The app runs on iOS 4.0 and higher, Android 2.1 or higher, the Blackberry Storm 2 and the Blackberry Torch.
