By selecting Senat, the Falcons addressed a need at the defensive tackle position and added a player who could make an impact early. The 6-foot, 314-pound defensive tackle has a compact, sturdy frame and good hand quickness to help him strike and gain leverage against opposing offensive linemen.

Another aspect of Senat's game that stood out in college was his motor; he doesn't quit on a play until the whistle is blown. Senat is a player who has proven hard to move off of his base, and he always works to gain the advantage against blockers. On Wednesday, the Falcons announced they agreed to terms with second-round draft pick Isaiah Oliver, fourth-round draft pick Ito Smith and sixth-round draft picks Russell Gage and Foyesade Oluokun.
