Falcons add punter to practice squad

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- The Atlanta Falcons today signed punter Danny Baugher to the practice squad.

Baugher, 5-10, 194 pounds, is a University of Arizona graduate who was a finalist for the Ray Guy Award in 2005. He was signed by the Cincinnati Bengals as a rookie free agent in 2006, but was released by the team following training camp. Baugher has also witnessed stints with the New England Patriots and Denver Broncos, but has not seen action in a game.

This season, Baugher was drafted by the Las Vegas Locomotives of the UFL and helped his team to the first championship in league history. He totaled 30 punts for 1,301 yards (43.3 avg.), and three kicks pinned inside the 20-yard line.
