Falcons Activate Peters to 53-Man Roster

The Atlanta Falcons today announced that they have activated defensive tackle Corey Peters from the reserve/non-football injury list and waived cornerback Terrence Johnson.

Peters, 6-3, 305 pounds, was originally selected by the Falcons in the third round (83rd overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft. In two seasons in Atlanta, he has emerged as a stalwart member of the defensive line starting 30 of 31 career games while recording 73 tackles (57 solo), four sacks, three passes defensed, one interception and one fumble recovery.

Johnson, 5-9, 195 pounds, was originally signed by the New England Patriots as a college free agent out of California University of Pennsylvania on April 29, 2010. He was signed by the Falcons as a free agent on September 11, 2012.
