Falcons accepting Community Quarterback nominations

The Falcons are accepting nominations for the 2010 Community Quarterback Award through Oct. 29

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — The Atlanta Falcons are now accepting nominations for the 2010 Community Quarterback Award. 

The Community Quarterback Award honors volunteers in Georgia (ages 13 and over) who exemplify leadership and dedication to bettering their communities. The Atlanta Falcons recognize that many organizations rely on quality volunteers to create and facilitate programs that benefit many lives throughout the state of Georgia and this award is designed to recognize and reward these individuals.

The nomination period ends Oct. 29. All nominations will be reviewed by the 2010 Community Quarterback Award Selection Committee and winners will be announced in mid-November. 

Four winners will be selected and each will receive tickets to the 1 p.m. Nov. 28, game against the Green Bay Packers, as well as on-field recognition during pregame activities. A $2,000 grant from NFL Charities will also be awarded to the organization served.
