Bermuda came … and went … in a flash. I couldn't have had a better time while on the beautiful island.
I feel so lucky and blessed to have been able to shoot with such a talented photographer, Drew Crozier, with his team (Kate Hansel and Russell Dreyer) and with such a supportive and incredible creative staff with the Atlanta Falcons, including creative services director Michael Benford, AtlantaFalcons.com managing editor Jay Adams and video services staffers Matt Moore and Robert Gilkes.
I also want to thank Jamison Shaw Hairdressers and Sephora for making us so very beautiful!
Another huge thank you to AirTran Airways for getting us to the island! This was truly a once in a lifetime experience, and the most gratitude goes, of course, to our coach, Chato Waters, choreographer Jakene Ashford, and the Atlanta Falcons organization.
This calendar shoot was more than just 40 gorgeous girls taking photos — it was five days of team bonding and excitement shared with those who are all in it with you. I felt as though I got closer to all the new girls on the team and fortified the bonds I have with the veterans. I had a blast with the Falcons staff and our photographer and his crew as we rocked it out on set.
At the end of the day, what really matters is the experience I had and the memories I've taken with me. The 2011-2012 Atlanta Falcons Cheerleader Calendar is going to be amazingly beautiful with stunning shots of girls from the team.
What went into that calendar, though, is much more than outer beauty — it was hard work, laughter, fun and excitement. We on AFC can only hope YOU, the Falcons fans, love the final product as much as we will.
I'd also like to take a moment to reflect on how thankful we all are for the sacrifice of those who are currently serving and have previously served for our United States Military. We're thankful to you on this Memorial Day, and are further grateful for the sacrifice you have given to protect us.
I'm looking forward to an exciting, fun season filled with great memories just like those I've gained from this calendar shoot trip. Get pumped for the calendar release, Comcast reality series that features your AFC in Bermuda, and much more!
