Dome-Field Advantage!

The Falcons entered Saturday night with one final regular-season goal: clinch the NFC's top seed for the playoffs. With their 31-18 win on national television, the Falcons have done just that. The top seed in the playoffs assures them home-field advantage through the playoffs in addition to a first-round bye when the playoffs begin in two weeks.

The playoff run they're about to begin is the fourth trip to the playoffs under fifth-year head coach Mike Smith. The last time the Falcons earned the No. 1 seed in the playoffs was in 2010 when they finished with a 13-3 record.

This season is the first time in franchise history the Falcons have reached the playoffs in three consecutive seasons. This season's division title is the fifth in Falcons history.
