Desmond Trufant, Devonta Freeman remain in concussion protocol for Falcons

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. – Following Atlanta's 34-20 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, head coach Dan Quinn provided an injury update on the status of his team.

Cornerback Desmond Trufant left the game with a concussion and remains in the protocol with Pro Bowl running back Devonta Freeman.

Freeman returned to practice in a limited role last week.

Another member of Atlanta's secondary, cornerback Brian Poole, also suffered an injury that caused him to leave the game. Poole injured his back and is "day-to-day" according to Quinn.

The first injury report of the week will be released on Wednesday.
