Hundreds of people lined the street and dozens of media members swarmed. It was a scene only Deion Sanders could inspire.

Sanders held his Red & Black Gala on Saturday night to celebrate his upcoming enshrinement into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The 200 Peachtree Venue in downtown Atlanta was packed with Sanders' friends, family and plenty of celebrities.

The evening began with a red carpet event, where Sanders did a slew of interviews before taking to a small stage outside the venue and speaking to the fans who had gathered on the other side of the street.

During his brief speech, Sanders told the crowd that Atlanta was the only place he played that he ever called "home," which was met with cheers and shouts of, "We love you, Deion!"

Former Falcons Ray Buchanan, Brian Jordan and Kevin Mathis were in attendance, as were former Falcon and current NFL Network analyst Jamie Dukes, R&B singer Keith Sweat and Chilli from the group TLC.

Sanders will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio, on Aug. 6.
