DE Freeney Makes Return to Action on Monday

As the Falcons continued preparations for their exhibition finale, WR Julio Jones (ankle), K Matt Bryant (day off), WR Devin Fuller (shoulder), DE Adrian Clayborn (shoulder) and RB Brandon Wilds (knee) sat out Monday's practice, while DE Dwight Freeney (back) returned to action.

According to head coach Dan Quinn, Jones and Fuller will miss Thursday's matchup with the Jaguars. Jones could practice Wednesday and will return by next Monday at the latest; he's expected to be ready for the regular season opener on Sept. 11. Fuller is getting a second option on his damaged shoulder, which may require surgery.

Wilds will likely be out on Thursday, too. The college free agent signing is walking fine, per Quinn, but needs to show he can stick his foot in the ground and make cuts before being thrown into a game situation.

And although Bryant had the day off, he hasn't experienced any setbacks since returning from a hamstring injury. The veteran kicker will play versus Jacksonville.
