A Coweta County mother of three teenagers has won a quarter-million dollar prize from the Georgia Lottery. Samiqua Martin of Newnan won a $250,000 top prize playing the new instant game Atlanta Falcons Cash Blowout.

"We're saving for college," said Martin, who has three sons, ages 12, 14 and 16.

The lucky winner and her husband, Marty, claimed the prize recently at Georgia Lottery headquarters in Atlanta.

"My oldest son and I were out buying contact lenses," she recalled.

Marathon Food Mart, located at 1010 Highway 34 E. in Newnan, sold the winning ticket.

"I got in the car and scratched it off," said Martin, 35. "I had to catch my breath."

Excited over winning her prize, Martin also anticipates purchasing a new house and car.
