A few weeks ago, tight end Tony Gonzalez said he had been thinking about retirement. He said he'd be lying if he told people he hadn't at least contemplated it.

Well, according to his comments on ESPN's Jim Rome Is Burning on Friday, he'll be moving that thought to the back of his mind for a while. The 14-year vet told Rome that he will return to the Atlanta Falcons for the 2011 season.

Gonzalez, who was brought in to Atlanta two years ago after spending the better part of his career with the Kansas City Chiefs, caught 70 passes for 656 yards and six touchdowns during the 2010 season. He was named to his 12th Pro Bowl this season.
