Bench Press Test: Falcons vs. 2015 Pro Prospects

While the 2015 NFL Scouting Combine is in the rear-view mirror, there are certain interviews and workouts from it that tend to be timeless, including seeing how many times pro prospects can bench press 225 pounds.

Each player medically cleared to complete the drill was placed front and center on stage and given one opportunity to showcase his strength by bench pressing 225 pounds as many times as possible. Below is a look at the top performer(s) for each position group listed, followed by a comparison to what some of the current Falcons players posted in their Combine workouts.

OL - Miami's Ereck Flowers - 37 reps

RB - Hawaii's Joey Iosefa - 30 reps

TE - Louisville's Gerald Christian - 28 reps

WR - WVU's Kevin White, Auburn's Sammie Coates and Connecticut's Geremy Davis - 23 reps

DL - Northwestern State's (LA) Deion Simon - 35 reps

LB - Clemson's Vic Beasley - 35 reps

DB - USC's Josh Shaw - 26 reps

S - Northwestern's Ibraheim Campbell - 23 reps
