While the Falcons play the Panthers on Sunday, they are locked into finishing third in the NFC South. That also means Atlanta will face the third-place finishers in the NFC West and NFC North – and that will be the Cardinals and Packers, respectively. Atlanta will also face opponents from the NFC East and AFC North in 2018. Dates and times have yet to be set.
Quick schedule takeaways:
- Outside of the three NFC South locations, the five other road games are in cold-weather climates -- Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Green Bay and Landover, Md. It'll be interesting to see how many of those five games end being played in November and December.
- No West Coast games in 2018. In fact, the Falcons will play all of their games in the Eastern and Central time zones.
