NFL's 'Charity Challenge' Winner Announced Friday

In conglomeration with the NFL's Walter Payton Man of the Year campaign, a social media contest presented by Nationwide was implemented this year in hopes to further promote the nominees from all 32 clubs.

From the moment that FB Patrick DiMarco was named the Falcons' Walter Payton Man of the Year, the #DiMarcoWPMOYChallenge began.

The challenge ran through the end of December and received a significant amount of traction across various social media platforms.

The player whose unique hashtag is used the most in the proper timeframe will receive a $20,000 donation to their charity of choice, courtesy of Nationwide.

DiMarco has chosen the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta as his charity of choice, and hopes with the platform he has been granted, to be able to support an organization that he and his wife Kirstin have strong ties too.

The NFL will announce the winner of the Charity Challenge at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, Jan.8.
