Is Matt Ryan Still at the Forefront of MVP Talk?

Despite Sunday's loss, Matt Ryan remains very much in the mix of the MVP conversation and his stats prove just why.

Through 10 weeks, Ryan ranks No. 1 in the NFL in the following:

Passing Yards: 3,247

Touchdowns: 24

Completion percentage: 69.6 %

Ryan's performance goes hand in hand with Atlanta's offensive success this year—a unit which ranks at near the top of most statistical categories:

Points per game: 1st (32.0)

Yards per game: 2nd (416.6)

Passing: 2nd (309.0)

Completion percentage: 3rd (68.2)

If Ryan continues to put up these type of numbers, he would make it hard for anyone to argue against him as the league MVP.

As for who exactly is Ryan's competitors for MVP? RB Ezekiel Elliott, QB Derek Carr and QB Tom Brady are all making strong cases for themselves and are the other names being thrown around in the media MVP talk to this point.
