The Falcons defeated the Buccaneers 43-28 on Thursday night.

Tampa got on the board first at Raymond James Stadium as Jameis Winston was 3-for-3 on third down on the Buccaneers' opening drive. Mike Evans caught a 3-yard pass from Winston that put Tampa up 7-0.

Atlanta quickly answered thanks to a 32-yard touchdown catch from TE Levine Toilolo set up by a 27-yard run by RB Devonta Freeman.

The Falcons' defense forced two fumbles on Winston in the first half but Tampa's defense held Matt Ryan and Co. to six points on drives started from turnovers.

The Buccaneers on the other hand were able to capitalize on their one turnover. Gerald McCoy sacked Ryan and forced a fumble that Daryl Smith recovered. Winston hit Evans on a 24-yard touchdown.

A shootout it was.

Pro Bowl WR Julio Jones caught his first pass in the game in the second quarter that kept Atlanta's third scoring drive alive. Ryan connected with rookie TE Austin Hooper for a 16-yard catch that set up a 12-yard touchdown run by WR Taylor Gabriel.

Atlanta's offense came out with their foot on the gas in the second half and didn't let up. Ryan threw for 344 yards on the night with four touchdowns.

Jones found his rhythm when Ryan connected with him on four straight passes, then found him in the end zone for a spectacular 3-yard touchdown catch.

Four different Falcons scored touchdowns on Thursday, two of which came from Atlanta's tight ends.

The Falcons' defense found a way to get to Winston, notching three sacks on the night with five quarterback hits to go with.
