Falcons Promote CB Olatoye, Release RB Ridley

The Atlanta Falcons have promoted cornerback Deji Olatoye to the active roster. In order to make that move, the team released running back Stevan Ridley.

Olatoye attended North Carolina A&T and was signed by the Baltimore Ravens following the 2014 NFL Draft. He played for the Dallas Cowboys last season and saw action in five games, with two starts, while recording 10 total tackles and one interception. Olatoye has been on the practice squad since the start of the season.

Ridley has seen action in 61 career games – 52 with New England. He has recorded 2,907 rushing yards and 22 touchdowns during his five-year career.
