Falcons announce the release of tight end Levine Toilolo

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga – The Falcons will release tight end Levine Toilolo with a post-June 1 designation at the start of the new league year on March 14, 2018.

Toilolo was drafted by the Falcons in the fourth round of the 2013 NFL Draft out of Stanford. In his five seasons with the Falcons, Toilolo missed just one game, playing in 79 contests and making 57 starts. In 2017, he caught 12 passes for 122 yards and a touchdown. Toilolo has 74 career receptions for 723 yards and seven touchdowns. The Falcons signed Toilolo to a reported three-year, $12 million contract in 2017. Atlanta also announced the release of veteran defensive end Derrick Shelby on Friday.
