Quinn Provides Injury Updates Following KCvsATL

Following Sunday's loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, head coach Dan Quinn provided injury updates on LT Jake Matthews and WR Julio Jones.

Matthews injured his knee in the first half and was unable to return to action. Quinn said he doesn't think Matthews has a long-term injury.

"It was a sprain for him," Quinn said. "We hopefully don't think it's a long-term issue with him."

Jones was absent on the Falcons' final offensive play, the failed two-point conversion attempt, and Quinn downplayed any notion that the injury was anything serious.

"He had a lower body injury," Quinn said. "He missed some time, but he came back. It was nothing that would keep him out long."

Jones reiterated Quinn's comments saying as an NFL player, you're bound to play through bumps and bruises at some point.

"It's football, you are going to get banged up," Jones said. I'm OK and I'll be good to go."
