2018 NFL combine: List of participants released as Falcons prepare for Indy

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. – The 2018 NFL combine is just around the corner – and the list of the 326 prospects who will be attending the event this year has just been released.

Atlanta's scouting, personnel and coaching staff will also all be in attendance when the annual event kicks off in Indianapolis. Players will go through a series of physical, mental and health tests, as well as addressing the media during their individual sessions.

As always, AtlantaFalcons.com will have coverage of the week's events. Head coach Dan Quinn and general manager Thomas Dimitroff will each conduct a press conference while in Indianapolis.

Also worth noting is the fact that the University of Georgia will have 10 prospects attending this year's event, the third most of any school. The following Bulldogs will be in Indianapolis:

  • LB Davin Bellamy
  • LB Lorenzo Carter
  • RB Nick Chubb
  • RB Sony Michel
  • S Dominick Sanders
  • LB Roquan Smith
  • DT Trent Thompson
  • WR Javon Wims
  • OG Isaiah Wynn

Some of the positions that the so-called draft experts have in their early mock drafts have the Falcons taking a prospect with their first-round pick are the following: Defensive tackle, offensive line and receiver.

Here are some of the top prospects at those positions, according to various media outlets:

Defensive tackle:

  • Maurice Hurst, Michigan
  • Vita Vea, Washington
  • Taven Bryan, Florida

Guard:

  • Quenton Nelson, Notre Dame
  • Will Hernandez, UTEP
  • Braden Smith, Auburn

Tackle:

  • Orlando Brown, Oklahoma
  • Chukwuma Okorafor, Western Michigan
  • Connor Williams, Texas

Wide receiver:

  • Calvin Ridley, Alabama
  • Christian Kirk, Texas A&M
  • Cortland Sutton, SMU
