Instant Reaction: Dolphins 17, Falcons 6

The night started off strong for the Falcons when CB Desmond Trufant picked off Ryan Tannehill on a deflected pass, forcing the first turnover of the year.

First-round pick Keanu Neal went down with a knee injury as the first quarter came to a close, and the injuries of WR Julio Jones (ankle), DE Adrian Clayborn (shoulder), WR Justin Hardy (ankle), WR Devin Fuller (shoulder) and Brandon Wilds (knee) all followed.

Atlanta's only points came from Shayne Graham field goals, as the offense was unable to capitalize in the red zone, an area they hoped to improve in.

Quick Hits:

  • QB Matt Ryan went 12 of 22 on the night, throwing for 129 yards with one interception, earning a quarterback rating of 53
  • Prior to getting injured, Neal recorded five tackles in one quarter
  • WR J.D. McKissic showed he's a force to be reckoned with his 49-yard kickoff return
