Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan 'back in action' after missing practice the day before

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. – After missing Tuesday's practice, Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan is back at the team's facility and will practice on Wednesday afternoon.

Ryan was in the building on Tuesday morning but was excused from practice as he was tending to a personal matter, according to Falcons coach Dan Quinn.

"He was excused yesterday to tend to a personal family matter," Quinn told reporters on Wednesday. "I won't discuss the nature of that, that's Matt's story to tell. He's here today. I did want to make sure you knew he was back in action today."

Ryan and the Falcons will hit the road to take on the Philadelphia Eagles on Saturday afternoon. Atlanta's quarterback has thrown for 4,095 yards and 20 touchdowns on the year.
