Douglas, Hester Held Out Wednesday

Devin Hester's week of preparation to face his former team hasn't exactly started off the way he'd like, landing on the team's first official injury report of the week.

But fear not, says head coach Mike Smith. He expects Hester, listed as a non-participant Wednesday with a hamstring injury, will play Sunday vs. the Bears.

WR Harry Douglas' situation, however, is less clear. Douglas injured his foot in a Week 3 win over Tampa Bay, but with the long 10 days between that game and the Week 4 matchup at Minnesota, Douglas was healthy enough to be a full participant that Wednesday and Thursday before being a limited participant that Friday.

Since then, Douglas hasn't participated in any practices and has missed the past two games. He did not practice Wednesday.

Guard Justin Blalock returned to practice after a week of being a non-participant and was limited Wednesday. He said earlier Wednesday that the Falcons are taking a wait-and-see approach to his status for Sunday.
