Wide receiver Roddy White is always known for being colorful, thoughtful, interesting, sometimes controversial but always cordial when it comes to speaking to the media. For those helpful talents, White was named the Pro Football Writers Association's winner of the "Good Guy" award for the Atlanta chapter.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's D. Orlando Ledbetter, linebacker Curtis Lofton and safety Thomas DeCoud — two media favorites — were also considered for the award.

White will have a plaque hung in the Falcons' media room for the year, recognizing the honor.
