Matt Ryan and head coach Mike Smith's honor-filled offseason continued Tuesday night when they were recognized by the Atlanta Sports Council at their annual Atlanta Sports Awards banquet.

Smith added another coach of the year award to his honors after 2013's 13-3 season. He was named NFL Coach of the Year by The Sporting News earlier this year and the ASC named Smith as their coach of the year.

Ryan was named pro athlete of the year, beating out teammate Tony Gonzalez and Braves pitcher Craig Kimbrel.

The Falcons were named team of the year, winning the honor over the University of Georgia football team and Norcross High School's football team.
