Atlanta's late game rally fell short as the Falcons dropped to 4-11 in 2013

  • WR Roddy White continued his late season surge, catching a season-high 12 passes for 141 yards, including a 39-yard touchdown. White's 12 catches were one shy of his career best 13, set at Pittsburgh in 2010 while Monday marked his 11th career 10-catch game and his second game with 10-or-more catches this season.
  • White caught his second touchdown pass of the season when he hauled in a 39-yard touchdown pass from QB Matt Ryan in the fourth quarter. The score was White's second of the season and his 54th career touchdown reception. White ranks third in franchise history in touchdown receptions behind WR Terance Mathis (57) and WR Andre Rison (56).
  • White also improved his franchise record for 100-yard games to 37 with his 141-yard output on Monday night. The ninth-year wide out from Alabama-Birmingham has posted 140-plus yards in 11 games in his career. In two games at Candlestick Park, White tallied 20 receptions, 351 yards and three touchdowns.
  • In his last four games, White has posted 35 catches for 411 yards with 23 first down receptions, and one touchdown. During that span, White is tied for the NFL lead in receptions (J. Edelman, 35) and ranks fourth in receiving yards.
  • WR Harry Douglas broke the 1,000-yard barrier for the first time in his career after catching five passes for 46 yards on Monday night. This season, Douglas has caught 78 passes for 1,009 yards with two touchdowns.
  • Ryan finished the game completing a career high 37 of 48 passes (77.1 percent) for 348 yards with two touchdowns, two interceptions and a 93.1 passer rating. Monday night marked Ryan's seventh 300-yard game of the season and the seventh time this year that he has completed over 70 percent of his passes. Ryan has also thrown for two-or-more touchdowns in nine games in 2013.
  • TE Tony Gonzalez caught eight passes for 63 yards and one touchdown, giving him 79 receptions, 803 yards, and eight touchdowns this season. Gonzalez is the NFL's leading active receiver and ranks fifth in League history with 111 career touchdown receptions. Additionally, he has caught a touchdown in each of the last four games.
  • Gonzalez tied TE Alge Crumpler for fifth in franchise history with his 35th touchdown reception since joining the Falcons in 2009. He is one of seven players in club history to record 30-or-more touchdown receptions.
  • RB Steven Jackson punched in a two-yard touchdown in the first half, giving him six rushing touchdowns in the last five games. Jackson has scored seven total touchdowns in 2013, six rushing and one receiving.
  • Jackson has totaled 62 career rushing touchdowns, which rank fourth among active players. His 71 total touchdowns (62 rushing & nine receiving) are the third most among active running backs. Additionally, Jackson has scored five-or-more rushing touchdowns in seven of his 13 NFL seasons.
  • WR Drew Davis set up Jackson's two-yard touchdown run when he logged a career long 59-yard reception. Davis caught a mid-range pass over the middle then spun away from a group of tacklers before racing down the sideline to the Atlanta five-yard line. Davis finished the game with three catches for 70 yards.
  • DT Corey Peters notched his fifth sack of the season when he dragged down QB Colin Kaepernick on a third-down play in the first half. Peters' five sacks rank second on the team behind DE Osi Umenyiora (7.5). The fourth-year player out of Kentucky has nine career sacks and set a career-high with five quarterback takedowns in 2013.
  • LB Stephen Nicholas posted his best game of the season, logging 10 tackles (nine solo) with two tackles for loss, one pass defensed, and one sack. Nicholas notched his first sack of the season when he dropped Kaepernick for a six-yard loss. Nicholas has recorded eight sacks during his career.
  • DE Jonathan Massaquoi also dropped Kaepernick for a sack, giving him a career-best four sacks this season. Massaquoi is one of five Falcon defenders with 3.5-or-more sacks in 2013.
  • The Falcons finished the game with three sacks, marking the sixth game this season that the Birds have recorded three or more sacks. Monday night marked Atlanta's first multi-sack game since Week 14 at Green Bay when the defense registered five sacks.
  • LB Joplo Bartu had one the best games of his young career, collaring 11 total tackles (10 solo) with one tackle for loss and one quarterback hit.
  • P Matt Bosher kicked five punts for 244 yards with a gross average of 48.8 and a net average of 40.8. Additionally, Bosher dropped two punts inside the 49ers 20-yard line, giving him 24 punts inside the 20 this season.
