Falcons Sign Johnson, Olatoye to Practice Squad

The Falcons continued to add to their practice squad today by bringing back running back Gus Johnson and signing cornerback Deji Olatoye.

Johnson was originally signed by the Dallas Cowboys on July 28, 2015. He was then signed to the Cowboys practice squad on September 8, 2015. Johnson also spent part of the 2015 season as a member of the Falcons practice squad. During the preseason for the Falcons, Johnson had 14 carries for 60 yards (4.3 yards per carry).

Olatoye attended North Carolina A&T and was signed by the Baltimore Ravens following the 2014 NFL Draft. He played for the Dallas Cowboys last season and saw action in five games, with two starts, while recording 10 total tackles and one interception.

The Falcons currently have nine players on their practice, leaving one spot, which they hope to fill by tomorrow.
