Introducing the Atlanta Falcons Social Justice Committee

Before the game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the Falcons introduced their Social Justice committee.

To celebrate Mother's Day, Freddie Falcon teamed up with Coca-Cola and Publix to surprise and delight Season Ticket Members at their homes.

Freddie Falcon partnered with Georgia Power to road trip across the state, surprising 20 Atlanta Falcons Season Ticket Members and 10 Georgia Power Linemen at their homes with a socially distanced visit and curbside delivery. During the delivery, fans received Atlanta Falcons and Georgia Power themed items as well as a $100 Visa gift card. These visits took place Thursday, April 8 through Sunday, April 11.

Georgia ranks among one of the lowest states in the country for gender equality in high school sports offered to girls. In order to change that, the Atlanta Falcons have developed a pilot program over the past few years with a commitment to growing girls flag football. With the growing success of the program, the Falcons hope to lead by example for other states to promote gender equality in high school sports through girls flag football.

Modeled after one of the most prestigious awards in the NFL, the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award, the Atlanta Falcons honored high school football student–athletes who embody excellence on and off the field. Jalavis Wilson, a Junior from South Gwinnett High School, was selected as the inaugural Atlanta Falcons High School Man of the Year.

In the days leading up to Thanksgiving, Freddie Falcon partnered with Mercedes-Benz to surprise 30 Season Ticket Members with a $250 gift card to purchase all the holiday dinner essentials along with other fun Atlanta Falcons themed gifts!

In partnership with Publix, the Atlanta Falcons offensive and defensive lines provided over 800 Thanksgiving meals to families in-need on the Westside of Atlanta.

Steve Cannon, the Chief Executive Officer of the AMB Group, has been nominated by the Atlanta Falcons for the 2020 Salute to Service Award, which is presented annually by the National Football League and USAA. Cannon, the Chief Executive Officer of the AMB Group, is also the 2020 recipient of the USO's Patriot Award

In honor of Veteran's Day, Season Ticket Members had the opportunity to nominate a Veteran to receive a surprise visit from Freddie Falcon. The delivery also included a special package filled with Atlanta Falcons and military themed items.

The Atlanta Falcons have partnered with TAPS (Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors) every season since 2016 to honor families and their fallen heroes. This year we honor all 280 families and reflect on some special moments shared in the past.

Atlanta Falcons players share the importance of using your voice to make a difference by registering to vote, educating yourself and casting your ballot. For 15 years, the Falcons have made voting a priority for their players, now, they are urging their communities to make it a priority to Rise Up and Vote!

For the 13th year in a row, the Atlanta Falcons entire roster of players spent a day virtually thanking fans.

In honor of Crucial Catch during the month of October, the Atlanta Falcons hosted eight cancer fighters and survivors to First Down for Fighters presented by Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University. Honorees were treated to a virtual painting activity, socially distanced homegating deliveries from Freddie Falcon and were recognized during the Carolina Panthers vs. Atlanta Falcons game through pre-recorded videos.

That teacher-student relationship is unlike any other. Freddie Falcon and Lil Fred helped lead North Georgia teachers through neighborhoods to see their students during this time away from school.
