Biography
Bob Quinn was named senior advisor to the head coach on Jan. 26, 2026.Â
Quinn spent the past five seasons with the Browns as the team's senior personnel/coaching executive (2022-25) and senior consultant to the club's football operations (2021). While in Cleveland, Quinn worked with coaching and personnel, contributing to all roster and strategic football decisions.
Prior to the Browns, Quinn spent five seasons (2016-20) with the Detroit Lions as the team's executive vice president of football operations and general manager. He oversaw all football operations, including the restructure of the player personnel department, scouting evaluation processes and the overhaul of the organization's scouting and technology systems. He implemented new processes for salary cap management, player contract negotiations and the use of analytics. Quinn also upgraded the player performance and strength and conditioning departments, while also overseeing the renovation of the Lions' Allen Park practice facility.
Quinn's time in Detroit was also highlighted by his Pro-Bowl draft pick in Taylor Decker (2016) and Pro-Bowl and five-time All-Pro center draft pick, Frank Ragnow (2018).
Before Detroit, the Norwood, Mass., native saw historical success as part of the New England Patriots organization for 16 seasons (2000-15). He held numerous titles in the Patriots' player personnel department, including being the director of pro scouting (2012-15) and assistant director of pro personnel (2009-12), in addition to being a national scout (2008), regional scout (2004-07), pro scout (2002-03) and player personnel assistant (2000-01).
Quinn helped construct the Patriots' dynasty, with the team earning four Super Bowl titles, six AFC Championships, 13 AFC East titles and recorded 10 seasons with 12-or-more wins and 14 seasons with 10-or-more wins during his 16-year tenure.
Entering his 27th year in the NFL, Quinn's reputation and experience in the league led him to be named to the NFL's College Relations Committee by the commissioner in 2019. In this role, Quinn worked with NFL executives to improve relationships between league executives and college football personnel and administrators to improve the NFL Draft process.Â
Before joining the league, Quinn was a graduate assistant in the athletic department at the University of Connecticut (1998-99), where he earned his master's degree in sports management in 2000 and completed his undergraduate studies in 1998.
Quinn and his wife, Julie, have a son, Kyle, and a daughter, Grace.
