A Look Ahead: Day 13

day13jpg.jpg

Each day of 2012 Russell Athletic Atlanta Falcons Training Camp, we'll take a look ahead at the day of practices and break down the storylines and things you need to know as a fan, including position battles, players to keep an eye on and information on what the Falcons are up to.

Here are today's top things to keep an eye on:

    • The Falcons continue 2012 camp with an afternoon practice session, scheduled to run from 3:30-6:05 p.m. The session is open to the public and this is the final weekend of camp practices open to the public. Gates open at 2:30 p.m.
    • With one preseason game down, the Falcons are beginning their preparations for their second — vs. the Cincinnati Bengals at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Georgia Dome. While the Falcons don't game plan for opponents during the preseason, they will get back to working on cleaning up the mistakes made during Thursday's 31-17 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
    • The fullback position has now become one of interest as it was announced Friday that rookie Bradie Ewing would be placed on season-ending injured reserve after a knee injury during the Baltimore game. Mike Cox is the listed starter, but now undrafted rookie Lee Meisner has a chance to step up to the plate and show what he can do.
  • In the event of inclement weather, that forces the team to move to the indoor facility during a practice session open to the public, the Falcons don't have the ability to safely accommodate fans inside. Therefore, practice will close for the day. For up-to-the-minute information on weather issues that could interrupt practice:
