Georgia ranks among one of the lowest states in the country for gender equality in high school sports offered to girls. In order to change that, the Atlanta Falcons have developed a pilot program over the past few years with a commitment to growing girls flag football. With the growing success of the program, the Falcons hope to lead by example for other states to promote gender equality in high school sports through girls flag football.

Jalavis Wilson, a Junior from South Gwinnett High School, was selected as the inaugural Atlanta Falcons High School Man of the Year.
