Robert Torres

Performance Science Coordinator

Biography

Robert Torres was named Performance Science Coordinator in September of 2024 following his role as a performance science intern during the Atlanta Falcons' 2024 training camp.

Before joining the Falcons, Torres served as the Director of Football Applied Sports Science and Assistant Football Strength and Conditioning Coach at Texas Tech University for two years. While at Texas Tech, the Red Raiders won two bowl games, the Texas Bowl (2022) and the Independence Bowl (2023). Torres' career began in 2018 as a student strength and conditioning intern with Texas A&M Football. Torres graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor's degree in Sports Management. After graduation, Torres moved to Houston where he worked as an Athletic Performance Coach at Plex Sports Performance and Sports Medicine (2019-2020) and as a Trauma and Orthopedic Sales Representative for Smith & Nephew (2020). He later returned to collegiate football as a strength and conditioning intern at the University of Kansas and later as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Minnesota State University, Mankato, before his tenure at Texas Tech.

A native of Houston, Texas, Torres is married to his wife, Star.
