Biography
Torres joined the Falcons on September 16th in 2024, after spending two full years (2022-24) as the director of football applied sports science/strength and conditioning assistant at Texas Tech where he was responsible for overseeing the analytical assessment and implementation of Catapult GPS (S7) systems for Texas Tech Football. While at Texas Tech, the Red Raiders won two bowl games, the Texas Bowl (2022), and the Independence Bowl (2023).
Before Texas Tech, he served as a volunteer assistant strength and conditioning coach for football at the University of Kansas (2021), an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Minnesota State, Mankato for a year (2021-22), and an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Plex Sports Performance & Sports Medicine located in Houston, Texas (2019).
Torres started his career as a student assistant strength and conditioning coach for Texas A&M Football in 2018, prior to earning his Bachelor of Science – BS, Sports Management at Texas A&M in 2019. Torres is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) through the national strength and conditioning association (NSCA). A native of Richmond, Texas, Torres is married to his wife Star Torres.
