LaTroy Lewis was named assistant defensive line coach on Feb. 10, 2026.

Lewis spent the 2025 season as the defensive line coach at Toledo following three seasons (2022-24) at at Michigan, starting as a graduate assistant (2022-23) and being part of the team's 2023 National Championship, before being promoted to assistant defensive line coach in 2024. Lewis spent the 2022 season as a special teams analyst at Wake Forest. The Akron, Ohio, native began his coaching career in 2020 as a graduate assistant at Akron in 2020, where he worked primarily with outside linebackers. He spent the 2021 season at South Alabama as a defensive graduate assistant, working primarily with special teams and nickelbacks.

Lewis played defensive line at the University of Tennessee from 2013-16, graduating with a bachelor's degree in kinesiology. He played two seasons in the NFL with the Oakland Raiders (2017), Houston Texans (2017-18) and Tennessee Titans (2018).
