The Atlanta Falcons and its Social Justice Committee hosted a private early screening of the film, "Just Mercy” with social justice and community partners in attendance. Members of the committee include Ricardo Allen, De'Vondre Campbell and Steven Means who focus on initiatives that address social justice issues in the community.
Falcons host high school breast cancer awareness game
The Atlanta Falcons hosted a Breast Cancer Awareness High School Game presented by Emory at Hallford Stadium where Southwest DeKalb High School played against Miller Grove High School. The game and stadium featured many pink elements to support and raise awareness for breast cancer.
Falcons CEO Steve Cannon nominated for 2019 Salute to Service Award
Steve Cannon, Chief Executive Officer of the AMB Group, was named the Atlanta Falcons 2019 Salute to Service Award nominee. The Falcons have won the award, which recognizes support for the military community, for three straight years with Ben Garland (2018), Andre Roberts (2017) and head coach Dan Quinn (2016).
Falcons 'Huddle for 100' at North Georgia food bank
Atlanta Falcons fans contributed to the Huddle for 100 initiative by volunteering for 100 minutes at a food bank in North Georgia alongside Atlanta Falcons players, Cheerleaders and Freddie Falcon. The group sorted food that will be distributed to families in need. In honor of its 100th season, the NFL is inviting fans to partner with them, the players, and the teams in Huddle for 100.
'First Down for Fighters' honors Georgia cancer survivors
Atlanta Falcons players and legends honored 8 individuals from Georgia who have survived or are currently battling various types of cancer at the First Down for Fighters event, presented by Grady Health. The evening was spent in the team's locker room where guests were surprised with tickets to the upcoming game against the Rams.
