Salute to Georgia High School Football

On behalf of the Atlanta Falcons, the Georgia World Congress Center Authority, Levy Restaurants, Russell Athletic, hhgregg, USA Football, Air Tran Airways, Atlanta Falcons Physical Therapy Centers, PGA Tour Superstore and the Atlanta Falcons Youth Foundation,  we’d like to thank all of the coaches that attended the 4th annual Salute to High School Football Luncheon Saturday, December 10, 2011. 

For those of you that missed it, approximately 400 guests were on hand to enjoy the event that featured a keynote address from former Atlanta Falcons tight end Alge Crumpler, the presentation of the Warrick Dunn Captain in the Community Award and remarks from Atlanta Falcons Head Coach Mike Smith and President & CEO, Rich McKay and General Manager Thomas Dimitroff.  Additionally, the Atlanta Falcons Divisional Coach of the Year and Lifetime Achievement Winner were announced.

They are as follows:

Coach of the Year

• 1A-Donald Chumley // Savannah Christian Preparatory High School

• 2A-Jess Simpson // Buford High School

• 3A-Gary Varner // Allatoona High School

• 4A-Bryan Way // Warner Robins High School

• 5A- Michael Carson // Martinj Luther King, Jr. High School

Lifetime Achievement Award Winner
• Dave Hunter // Brookwood High School

Each winner received a crystal trophy along with a $1,000 gift card courtesy of hhgregg.

The Atlanta Falcons Youth Foundation gave away (5) $600 equipment grants and (1) $1000 grant to:
