ATLANTA â The final standings of the NFC South will be determined Sunday in the Week 18 game between the Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
The Falcons and Saints first met in Week 12 in New Orleans, where Atlanta won 24-10. Since then, the Falcons have won three of their last five games, with those three wins coming in the last three consecutive games. The Saints, meanwhile, have won four of their last five games, with those four wins coming in the last four consecutive weeks.
So, both the Falcons and Saints are riding rather high into their regular-season finale despite being eliminated from the playoffs about a month ago.
Atlanta last swept New Orleans in 2016. They've split the series in the past two seasons. The Falcons hold a one-game advantage over the Saints in their all-time record, 57-56, which includes playoffs. It has always been a tight contest between these rivals. Sunday should be no different.
