RB Jackson Returns to Practice Field

Running back Steven Jackson was back on the practice field Monday after spending much of the preseason as a spectator with a hamstring injury.

Jackson was dressed for practice, with helmet, Monday and we'll have word later on if the running back will be participating in the fourth preseason game Thursday.

OL Gabe Carimi and TE Mickey Shuler were also dressed for practice. Carimi is coming off an ankle injury and Shuler was in the league's concussion protocol.

Rookie S Dezmen Southward left the game Saturday with a possible head injury and was not participating in practice Monday. G Jon Asamoah also wasn't participating and the reason is unclear.

We'll have more coverage of this later today when practice ends.
