Falcons claim wide receiver off NFL waivers

The former Green Bay Packer has played in 11 games this season.

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — The Atlanta Falcons claimed wide receiver Malik Heath off NFL waivers Monday.

Heath had been with the Green Bay Packers but was released last Saturday.

Heath has appeared in 11 games this season, totaling six receptions for 86 yards. He caught at least one pass in four different games.

Heath originally joined the Packers in 2023 as an undrafted free agent. He played in 13 games as a rookie and caught 15 passes for 125 yards and a touchdown. In 2024, he played in 13 games and caught 10 passes for 97 yards and two touchdowns.

Star wide receiver Drake London has missed Atlanta's last three games due to a knee injury. London was deemed a non-participant in Monday's estimated injury report. The Falcons have a short week before playing against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday night.

The Falcons released safety Jordan Fuller earlier on Monday afternoon.
