FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — The Atlanta Falcons' first practice of Week 6 showcased a little good news/bad news situation for the team coming off its bye week.
The good news being twofold. For starters, Thursday saw the return of starting cornerback A.J. Terrell to practice. Terrell missed the team's last two games with a hamstring injury. Head coach Raheem Morris said earlier in the day that he "feels really good" about Terrell's status moving forward. This is the first time Terrell has practiced in any capacity since suffering the injury in the final minute of the team's first half in Minnesota.
Terrell told reporters in the locker room after practice that he feels back to 100%, and plans to play on Monday night.

Defensive lineman Ta'Quon Graham also returned to practice, but his return was his first appearance of the regular season. Graham suffered a calf injury late in the preseason that sent him to injured reserve. Now that he has returned to practice, the team has officially opened up his 21-day window to return to the active roster. At any point during those 21 days, the Falcons can put Graham on the active roster. If they fail to do so during that window he will revert back to IR and remain there for the remainder of the season. However, he was a full participant in Thursday's practice, which is a good early indicator for the lineman's return.
The other side of the injury coin — i.e. the not-so-good news — is that the Falcons are still monitoring wide receiver Darnell Mooney's status. He did not participate in Thursday's practice with the same hamstring issue that cut his play time short against the Washington Commanders.
Mooney missed all of training camp with a shoulder injury, and even though he has seen action in three of the Falcons' four games so far, he has just seven reception for 79 yards.
If Mooney can't go this Monday night against the Buffalo Bills, the team will look to Casey Washington to fill in like he did in Week 1.
As a reminder, because Atlanta doesn't play until Monday night, the Falcons will not release their game report until Saturday afternoon instead of Friday.
