Atlanta Falcons Summer of Service

The Atlanta Falcons have partnered with Atlanta Public Schools to host a summer contest between high schools to celebrate the work that students do in the community. Atlanta Falcons Summer of Service encourages students to get involved in their communities and make an impact. Students will track their community service hours through MyVoluntier from May 26th – September 1st, 2023. The high school with the students that have completed the most community service hours throughout the summer will win a grand prize from the Atlanta Falcons, including a school pep rally featuring special Falcons guests, a trip to a game during the regular season, and more.

Who can participate in the Atlanta Falcons Summer of Service?

  • APS high school students that are rising 10th – 12th graders. Unfortunately, if you do not attend an APS high school, you are not eligible to participate.

How do students track their hours?

  • Students will receive information on MyVoluntier from their school counselors. The counselors will assist the students with tracking their hours throughout the summer.

Where can students find volunteer opportunities?

  • There are some volunteer opportunities listed in MyVoluntier. A student must volunteer with a nonprofit or an organization with a 501c3 status to receive credit towards this program. Hands On Atlanta is another great resource to look for volunteer opportunities.

How long will this program run?

  • Atlanta Falcons Summer of Service will run from May 26th – September 1st, 2023. Any hours that students submit during this timeframe will count towards their school's total number. Any hours submitted outside of this timeframe will not count towards their school's total number.

What is the prize for the winning school?

  • The school with the students that have completed the most amount of community service hour will win a school pep rally with special Falcons guests, a trip to a home game in the regular season, and more.
